The Labour Court recommended that Merck Millipore Limited recognise SIPTU And Connect Members as the representatives of employees who were members of Connect Trade Union and SIPTU, and engage with them on employment matters affecting those members. The recommendation was signed on 1 July 2020. The employees were represented by Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and CONNECT TRADE UNION. The employer did not participate in the WRC process and told the Court it would not attend.
