The Labour Court recommended that a worker at Tusla Child And Family Agency be placed on the Grade V salary scale from 1 January 2014 and the CFSN Co-ordinator scale, equivalent to Grade VI, from 24 October 2017. The decision was signed on 16 June 2020 and affirmed an earlier Adjudication Officer recommendation. The worker, a Family Support Service Co-ordinator represented by FORSA TRADE UNION, argued her pay should reflect the level of the staff reporting to her. After a 2017 national agreement aligned those staff with a higher scale, she was paid less than them. The employer offered Grade V and later Grade VI, while she sought Grade VII. The Court recommended Grade V for the earlier period and the Grade VI equivalent scale from October 2017.
