Labour Court recommends local talks on pharmacist grade dispute

The Labour Court recommended that the HSE, Primary Care Reimbursement Service and Deirdre O'Halloran engage locally to clarify a dispute over her pharmacist grade. The recommendation was dated 29 January 2020. O'Halloran argued her Senior Pharmacist duties were closer to those of a Chief II pharmacist. The HSE, Primary Care Reimbursement Service disputed this and said the claim was barred under the Public Service Stability Agreement. The Court said it could not recommend the cost-increasing claim while the agreement applied. It recommended local discussions, with a facilitator if needed, to establish a shared understanding of the facts.
