Labour Court declines retrospective pay equalisation claim for six social workers

The Labour Court did not recommend that HR Department, St. Patrick's Mental Health Services concede a claim by F�Rsa Trade Union for retrospective pay equalisation for six social workers. The recommendation was signed on 10 September 2019. The union sought equalisation from 1 January 2018, matching the date applied to nursing staff. The Court said it had no basis to find the employer faced similar recruitment challenges for the social workers and could not conclude that using different dates for different staff groups was unreasonable.
