The Labour Court recommended that STL Logistics International give each of 41 workers a once-off, tax-free €500 voucher in full and final settlement of their retrospective pay dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The recommendation was dated 20 June 2019. The dispute concerned retrospective pay following the workers’ transfer to STL Logistics in 2011. An earlier WRC recommendation provided a 6% interim basic-pay increase from 5 October 2018 and a €1,250 payment per worker. The union said the payment recognised delay in resolving the dispute; the company said it covered the retrospective period from 1 January 2017 to 7 October 2018.
