The Labour Court recommended a 2% basic pay increase for Leo Pharma team leaders from 1 January 2019, with a further 4% increase conditional on agreement to a bonus system. Deputy Chairman Tom Geraghty signed the recommendation on 4 June 2019. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought a 12.85% differential above colleagues on the line, saying team leaders had taken on additional and supervisory duties. Leo Pharma said team leaders' salaries were already 5.8% above the industry upper quartile and pointed to its proposed performance bonuses. The Court recommended discussions on bonuses of up to 3% of basic pay as part of the agreement linked to the further increase.
