The Labour Court recommended changes to a proposed new nursing contract following a dispute between HSE/Dept Of Health/Dept Of Public Expenditure And Reform and Inmo. In its recommendation dated 3 April 2019, the Court addressed contract provisions on work locations, duties, hours and qualifying criteria. It said eligibility for the enhanced nurse or midwife role was met when a worker reached point 4 on the staff nurse/midwife scale. Management had argued for two years' service, while Inmo argued for one year and sixteen weeks, subject to the other criteria.
