Labour Court recommends €10,000 for worker unfairly dismissed by GKR Search and Selection

The Labour Court recommended that Kearney Placement Consultants Ltd, trading as GKR Search and Selection, pay a worker €10,000 after finding she was unfairly dismissed. The recommendation was signed on 19 July 2018. The worker said she left effectively permanent full-time work to join the company and was dismissed a week after contacting it during a brief illness. The Court accepted her uncontested account that the employer had raised no performance concerns and used no fair process before dismissing her. The employer did not attend the hearing.
