Labour Court recommends 10% pay rises over four years for 24 Pat O'Donnell workers

The Labour Court recommended pay increases totalling 10% over four years for 24 workers at Pat O'Donnell & Company, conditional on their cooperation with the company's change programme. The recommendation was signed on 5 July 2018. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought an 11.5% increase without conditions. The company had offered increases of 2% in 2016 and 2017 and 2.5% in 2018, conditional on cooperation with changes including a new IT system, health and safety measures and a revised handbook. The Court recommended a 2.5% increase effective from 1 January in each year from 2016 to 2019, subject to cooperation with those changes. It also recommended that the parties resolve outstanding details within three months, with unresolved issues eligible for referral back to the Court.
