The Labour Court recommended that Fox & Bow Hairdressing pay Kayleigh Bullman €5,000 after finding she had been bullied and harassed at work and unfairly dismissed without notice or explanation. The recommendation was signed on 16 March 2018.
The Court considered Bullman’s uncontested submission after the employer did not attend the hearing on 14 March 2018. It noted her earnings on the P45 and the length of her employment when recommending compensation. Bullman had referred the case under section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 and agreed to be bound by the recommendation.
