The Labour Court recommended two 2.5% basic-pay increases for workers at Rosderra Irish Meats, effective from 1 September 2017 and 1 September 2018. Its recommendation was signed on 5 December 2017, following the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s pay and conditions claim. The weekly bonus was to rise from €38 to €43 from 1 January 2018 and to €48 from 1 January 2019, with a one-off €175 payment from acceptance of the agreement. The union was also to reduce breaks from 90 to 70 minutes from 1 January 2018 and hold productivity discussions with management by 1 May 2018.
