The Labour Court did not recommend introducing a 20% water conservation allowance for Fix crew taking part in the Find and Fix initiative at Limerick City and County Council. It recommended that the Council give the new Fix crew similar opportunities to undertake overtime as the existing crew. The recommendation was signed on 24 November 2017. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union said a 2016 agreement provided for the 20% allowance for both Find and Fix crews. The Council disputed that an agreement had been reached and said Fix crew did not receive the allowance because they were not exposed to unsocial hours.
