The Labour Court recommended that Noonan Services Group Limited pay €500 to each worker covered by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim over changes to overtime and Saturday working. The recommendation was dated 1 November 2017. The dispute concerned staff in the currency services division transferred from AIB Group Bank. The union said changes to early starts, Saturday work and finishing times had reduced earnings. Noonan said the early start had been bought out under a 2014 agreement and operational changes were needed. The Court found the agreement bought out weekday overtime except the specified 5.5 hours of regular rostered overtime, which did not include early starts. It noted Noonan acknowledged there had been no discussion about Saturday working and finishing time, and recommended €500 for each covered worker in full and final settlement.
