The Labour Court recommended three annual 2.5% basic pay increases at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Manufacturing Ltd, in a pay dispute with Unite. Its recommendation was signed on 6 September 2017. Unite sought annual increases of 4.25% and progression to the top of the pay scale within five years. The company proposed rises of 2%, 2% and 2.25%. The Court said the existing system had merit but recommended greater transparency and full engagement on performance reviews. Staff paid above 100% of the upper quartile would receive the increases as lump sums, with a review of the system in late 2020.
