The Labour Court recommended two pay increases in a dispute between Tulane Business Management T/A Maldron Hotel Dublin Airport and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. Its recommendation was signed on 31 August 2017. The Court recommended a 2.75% increase from 1 March 2017 and a 1.75% increase from 1 May 2018 in full and final settlement. SIPTU had sought restoration of a 7% pay cut, a review of the service charge point and reinstatement of a loyalty scheme. The Court said the service charge had been consolidated into pay and the agreed review had taken place; it did not recommend restoring the loyalty payment uncapped.
