The Labour Court recommended that G4S Secure Solutions increase severance terms for staff affected by the Citywest Monitoring Division closure to three weeks’ pay per year of service, in addition to statutory redundancy entitlements, with no cap. The recommendation was signed on 10 August 2017. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought four weeks’ pay per year, citing an earlier company payment and workers’ previous pay reductions of 15% to 20%. G4S said affected members had received two weeks’ pay per year in addition to statutory entitlements and that it could not increase the terms.
