The Labour Court determined that statutory requirements had been met to investigate a dispute between Enercon Windfarm Services Ireland Ltd and a Group Of Technicians. Its determination was signed on 31 July 2017. The Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union sought changes to technicians’ pay, overtime, holiday pay, on-call and call-out payments, and health and safety arrangements. The employer was represented by the Irish Business and Employers' Confederation; the technicians were represented by the union. The Court found that 69 union members among the 147 workers in the relevant group were not an insignificant number and said it would proceed with an investigation. The determination did not resolve the underlying pay and conditions dispute.
