Labour Court recommends national talks on HSE South East managers' regrading claim

The Labour Court recommended that HSE South East and the Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union meet nationally to agree a framework for a claim to upgrade Manager 1 posts to Manager 3. The recommendation was signed on 20 July 2017. The union said employees had been carrying out Manager 3 duties as service demands increased. The Executive said it had offered upgrades in line with the Expert Group report, but the union sought five times as many. The Court said a national framework was needed before it could decide the specific claim. If no agreement is reached within six months, it said it would reconvene and make a definitive recommendation on the claim's merits.
