Labour Court recommends further talks on Enterprise Ireland e-working dispute

The Labour Court recommended that Enterprise Ireland and Unite And Services Industrial Professional Technical Union engage further to clarify the concerns behind a dispute over e-working. The unions sought access for client-facing staff, more weekly e-working time and continuation beyond 12-month approvals. Enterprise Ireland said client-facing roles were unsuitable for structured e-working and staff could use other flexible arrangements. The Court accepted management could regulate access to the programme but said access was not at the core of the dispute. The recommendation was signed on 13 July 2017.
