Labour Court recommends process for four Carlow County Council workers’ claims

The Labour Court recommended different processes for four workers’ claims involving Carlow County Council and the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union. The recommendation was signed on 7 July 2017. The Court said a national mechanism should consider a social worker’s regrading claim, with referral back to the Court possible if it remained unresolved. It recommended a confined competition for the temporary sports partnership administrator and executive scientist posts. The county librarian appointment should be addressed in national discussions about library-service reform.
