Labour Court recommends redundancy package for ACC Loan Management worker

The Labour Court recommended that a worker receive the full agreed redundancy package from ACC Loan Management DAC, formerly ACC Bank PLC. The recommendation was signed on 4 July 2017. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, had left the Agri-Lending section in 2014 after being told his job was at risk and receiving assurances that his redundancy application would be supported. The Court found that he should be treated like three former colleagues who later received severance. The package is 5.5 weeks’ pay per year of service, inclusive of statutory entitlements, based on seven years and nine months’ service. No euro amount was set out.
