The Labour Court recommended that Transdev Ireland Ltd and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union use appropriate safety structures to consider concerns about the company’s Just Culture Policy. The recommendation was signed on 7 July 2017. The union said disciplinary consequences could deter employees from reporting safety incidents. The company said it needed to retain the right to discipline for serious or repeated safety breaches. The Court said the parties disagreed about the best practice for safety on the Tramway and did not express a substantive view on the policy.
