Labour Court recommends pay rises for Lufthansa Technik Shannon workers

The Labour Court recommended pay increases at Lufthansa Technik Shannon Ltd after finding merit in the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim. The recommendation was signed on 23 June 2017. The Court proposed a 2% rise from 1 January 2017 and a 2.5% rise from 1 January 2018. The union was also to cooperate with normal ongoing change and refrain from other cost-increasing claims during the agreement, which was to run to 31 December 2018. The union said workers had received no general pay increase since 2008 and sought to recover lost ground. The company said it could not afford a general increase and proposed a pay-and-benefits model.
