The Labour Court recommended that Gate Gourmet pay a 2.25% increase from 1 January 2016 and, for 2015, a 1% increase plus a €250 tax-exempt voucher for permanent employees, in a recommendation dated 10 April 2017. The dispute also covered workers on Gate Aviation contracts, agency work and weekend rosters. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union (SIPTU) said the pay claim was affordable and opposed the proposed roster changes. Gate Gourmet said its pay proposal was fair and that SIPTU had recommended it to members. The Court also recommended changing weekend rosters for July to September, without increasing the number of weekends worked in a year.
