The Labour Court varied an adjudication officer’s recommendation in Scott Hazel’s appeal over a final written warning issued after he refused a delivery run. The Court recommended that Stobart (Ireland) Driver Services Ltd confirm in writing within two weeks that it had removed the warning from Hazel’s file. Its recommendation was dated 30 March 2017. Stobart had undertaken to expunge the warning, which had expired at the end of November 2015. The Court said the undertaking was sufficient to resolve the matter and recommended that Hazel accept it in full and final settlement of the dispute.
