The Labour Court recommended that Marsh’s Library make a further ex-gratia payment of €20,000 to a worker as part of her redundancy terms. She had worked for the library for 20 years as a professional paper conservator and was represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court considered her long service, the terms offered to other redundant staff and the employer’s financial position. It recommended the payment in full and final settlement of all issues arising from the redundancy. The recommendation was signed on 11 July 2016.
