The Labour Court rejected the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s pay-parity claim for 39 workers at Glanbia Consumer Foods’ Belgard Road plant. The recommendation was dated 16 June 2016. The workers sought the same rates as four colleagues whose pay had been protected after they transferred from Fonthill as part of a voluntary redundancy programme. The Court found that arrangement had been agreed with the union and rejected the claim.
