The Labour Court said newly recruited Airport Police and Fire Service employees at Dublin Airport Authority should have annual leave and public holiday entitlements set under a 2003 agreement. The recommendation was signed on 18 May 2016. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union alleged that the employer had changed those terms without agreement. Dublin Airport Authority argued that a Cost Recovery Plan had amended the 2003 agreement. The Court found that the employer had acted outside the agreement and said inconsistent changes must be reversed. It also recommended talks on revised terms and a consolidated agreement, with the talks to be completed within 18 weeks.
