The Labour Court recommended that Pfizer Ireland set out the policy and financial reasons for proposed pension-scheme changes to the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union. It recommended that the unions then discuss a new scheme with management, balancing the company’s needs with benefits in the existing scheme and addressing current and future staff, including those moving between schemes. The parties were asked to conclude discussions within 12 weeks. The recommendation was signed on 9 May 2016.
