The Labour Court rejected a toll collector’s appeal over her roster and pay, leaving the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation in place. The Court found her contract provided for 24 hours’ work a week and that its reference to six shifts off was a typographical error. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought €2,436.66, saying extra shifts had been added without the worker’s consent and she had not been paid for them. Egis Road Tunnel And Operation Ireland Ltd said the worker had been overpaid because of the error, and it did not seek repayment. The Labour Court said it had no basis to disturb the recommendation, which stood, and the appeal failed. It signed its recommendation on 4 April 2015.
