The Labour Court recommended that Tipperary Hostel Ltd pay former worker Cornelius Connors an ex-gratia redundancy payment of three weeks’ pay per year of service, in addition to the statutory redundancy payment he had received. The recommendation was signed on 16 March 2016. The Court said Tipperary Hostel Ltd lacked funds to pay the recommended amount from its own resources and recommended that the parties jointly seek the necessary funding.
