Labour Court recommends staged pay increases at Grant Engineering

The Labour Court recommended staged pay increases at Grant Engineering in a recommendation signed on 10 February 2016. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought a 10% increase over two years; the company had offered 1.75% in each year. The Court recommended a 2% increase from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016, another 2% from 1 July to 31 December 2016, and 0.5% from 1 January to 30 June 2017. It also recommended that Grant Engineering and the union implement a revised company handbook if they accepted the recommended increases.
