The Labour Court recommended the same redundancy terms for staff affected by SICAP and LEADER developments in Local Development Companies: three weeks’ pay per year of service, plus statutory entitlements, capped at two years’ pay. The Irish Local Development Network, the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union were parties to the dispute. The Court said it could not support different terms for workers of the same employer represented by the same unions and made redundant at the same time. The recommendation was signed on 19 November 2015.
