The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a former worker’s claim for negotiations over shift patterns and remuneration. Ge Energy Ireland Ltd said the worker had retired and was no longer employed. The recommendation was signed on 13 November 2015. The worker’s union, the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union, sought negotiations over changes to his terms and an increase in remuneration. The Court concluded that conceding the claim would have no practical relevance after his retirement.
