Labour Court says HSE must follow binding redeployment decision

The Labour Court recommended that HSE implement a binding adjudicator decision concerning Pauline Ahern’s redeployment. The Court said the decision was final and binding on the parties. The recommendation was signed on 2 July 2015. Ms Ahern said the HSE had repeatedly refused to implement the decision and argued it had to follow the adjudicator’s recommendations. HSE said vacant posts were filled through competitions under established policies and it was required to follow those policies. The Court’s recommendation followed a dispute about implementation of a redeployment decision under the Health Sector Redeployment Protocol.
