The Labour Court recommended a 2% pay rise for Primark T/A Penneys staff from 1 June 2014 for 12 months. The recommendation was signed on 25 May 2015. Mandate had sought a 3% rise, citing improved trading and profitability, while opposing a change that would leave new entrants worse off than existing staff. The company offered 1.5% on condition that a new three-point pay scale replace the six-point scale for new entrants. The Court recommended a 2% increase after considering both sides’ submissions.
