Labour Court recommends talks on clocking-in and paid breaks at Crinkle Fine Foods

The Labour Court recommended that Crinkle Fine Foods (Rudd's Fine Foods) and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union discuss changes to clocking-in and paid rest breaks directly. The recommendation was signed on 22 May 2015. The union said the employer had changed the clocking system and removed paid breaks without prior agreement, causing workers financial losses. Crinkle Fine Foods said no internal grievances had been raised and that clocking-system changes were communicated before they took effect. If direct discussions do not resolve the dispute, the Court recommended that the sides use the State's normal industrial-relations procedures.
