The Labour Court recommended changes to Abbott Ireland’s proposed three-year pay agreement for workers at its Cootehill plant, in a dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The recommendation was dated 28 April 2015. The Court endorsed the company’s proposal with amendments, including increasing the proposed 2016 pay rise from 2.25% to 2.75%. It recommended one-off payments of €2,500 to Panel Operators and €1,250 to Back Up Panel Operators. The Court described the recommendation as a composite package for full and final settlement of the issues.
