The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Britvic Ireland Limited’s proposals to move a worker’s wages from cash to bank transfer, in a recommendation dated 27 April 2015. Britvic offered compensation and time off to help with the change. The union said the worker had been paid in cash for 40 years, expected to retire in a year and wanted the arrangement to continue. The company said he was its only employee paid in cash and that continuing payments that way placed a disproportionate burden on it. The Court found the proposals fair and reasonable.
