The Labour Court recommended that South Kerry Development Partnership Limited increase severance terms for two redundant staff to 3.35 weeks' pay per year of service, in addition to statutory entitlements. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought three weeks' pay per year as an ex-gratia term. The partnership said a 20% cut in Leader funding had led to the redundancies and that it could not obtain additional funding for the extra cost. The Court noted the partnership depended on State Agency funding and recommended that the parties approach funding agencies to secure the money needed. The recommendation was signed on 10 March 2015.
