The Labour Court found workers represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union entitled to travel allowance for each day they had to report for work in Swinford between January 2012 and June 2013. The allowance is payable under Western Care Association’s Travel Expenses Scheme. The Association had argued that its employment terms allowed it to change workers’ locations and that it did not pay ordinary travel-to-work expenses. The recommendation was signed on 29 January 2015.
