The Labour Court recommended that clinical psychologists who stayed in HSE employment after training should not be designated as new entrants on qualification. The recommendation was signed on 19 January 2015. The Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union sought restoration of pre-reduction salary scales and incremental credit. The HSE said the reductions followed a Government decision. The Court cited trainees' HSE employee status, pension service and a three-year post-qualification service commitment when rejecting the new-entrant designation, but did not recommend conceding the union's separate incremental-credit claim.
