The Labour Court recommended that MSD (Brinny Cork) and SIPTU refer their dispute over the hands-on role of Lead Process Technician to the Joint Implementation, Monitoring and Review Committee established under their 2011 agreement. SIPTU said workers feared that other groups would take over their work and displace them. The company said it needed manufacturing flexibility to meet customer demands. If the committee could not resolve outstanding issues before 31 January 2015, the Court recommended referring them back for a definitive recommendation. The recommendation was signed on 21 November 2014.
