The Labour Court did not recommend conceding SIPTU and TEEU’s claim that Dublin Airport Authority cover employees’ banking charges. The recommendation was signed on 18 November 2014. The unions said a 1984 agreement promised free banking for workers who moved from cash or cheque pay. Dublin Airport Authority said a third party had offered and later withdrawn the concession. The Court found that a bank had provided free services to the authority’s employees, but there was no evidence this was under a collective agreement with either union.
