Labour Court recommends security and cleaning pay increases for OCS workers

The Labour Court recommended that percentage pay increases agreed in ongoing security and cleaning sector talks be applied to seven workers at One Complete Solutions (Ocs). The recommendation was signed on 14 November 2014. Mandate sought increases in line with those given to Tesco staff, saying the workers had gone almost five years without a pay rise. OCS argued that an increase could affect several hundred workers and said the seven already earned more than Joint Labour Committee rates. The court found the workers had no established pay relationship with the retail trade and did not recommend Mandate’s claim as presented. It instead recommended applying the percentage increases agreed in the sector talks.
