The Labour Court recommended that Nui Galway pay a worker €893.14 to settle a dispute over whether her redundancy breached the Public Service Agreement. The recommendation was signed on 20 October 2014. The worker's union, Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, argued that the agreement protected against compulsory redundancy and sought her reinstatement and compensation for lost earnings. Nui Galway said her employment ended in January 2010 and that the agreement did not cover her later casual work.
