The Labour Court recommended that Medisize Ireland Ltd T/A Phillips Medisize make retrospective payments under its Income Continuance Plan to a worker suspended from it. The recommendation was signed on 14 October 2014. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, said she was removed from the plan without fair procedures or an opportunity to appeal. The Court accepted that she had not been formally told of her suspension and could not have known her status until 20 May 2011. She learned of it then, but did not refer a claim to a third party until November 2013. The Court recommended retrospective plan payments for the period from 7 October 2008 to 20 May 2011.
