The Labour Court recommended that the HSE regularise a worker as a permanent Grade VIII postholder on the appropriate salary scale from 1 October 2013. It did not recommend conceding her claim for retrospective incremental credit for time spent acting up. The recommendation was signed on 24 March 2014.
The Court said her long period acting in the senior role was anomalous and noted inconsistent HSE practices on incremental credit. The regularisation was to take effect on a cost-neutral basis under the Haddington Road Agreement. The Court urged discussions to address the inconsistent practices.
