The Labour Court recommended that a Community Employment Scheme Supervisor receive enhanced redundancy terms after his scheme closed, with the payment dependent on securing funding. The recommendation was signed on 24 February 2014. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought the national package of 3.35 weeks' pay per year of service in addition to statutory redundancy. Michael Davitt National Memorial Co Ltd said it had paid statutory redundancy but lacked funds for the enhanced terms. The Court recommended concession of the claim and said both sides should approach the Department of Social Protection for funding.
