The Labour Court recommended that redundant staff at National University of Ireland Galway receive three weeks' pay per year of service under the Public Service Agreement, in addition to statutory redundancy already paid. The recommendation was signed on 24 February 2014. The Irish Federation of University Teachers also sought removal of the two-year restriction on re-employment in the public service. The Court recommended that this issue be considered in light of developments at national level.
